How does my own customer support work if I’m using reseller hosting?

As a reseller, you’re providing support to your own customers; you’re completely in control of the communication with your hosting users – after all, you’re the owner of your business! You’ll be able to create your own website, set up hosting packages and pricing, install scripts and modify certain aspects of user websites. Naturally, MyDataKnox support is available 24 hours a days for its reseller customers. You can contact us at any time regarding high-level technical or server issues. MyDataKnox is responsible for uninterrupted functioning and stability of the reseller hosting service, and we’ll always be glad to help you with questions related to the functioning of the server.

Who is reseller hosting intended for?

Reseller hosting is intended for individuals and companies with multiple websites for which they require separate cPanel accounts, or those that wish to offer their users a web hosting service at their own prices and conditions, without having to maintain the server and the service itself, since we’ll be responsible for that part of the job.

What is WHM / reseller hosting management?

All reseller web hosting accounts include two separate control panels:

  • a Reseller Web Host Manager (WHM) which enables you to create accounts for your users and manage them
  • a cPanel control panel for your users which enables them to easily create and/or manage websites and e-mail.

WHM makes it very simple to manage and create various subaccounts. You will be able to:

  • set up cPanel for each user
  • limit user SSD storage and/or bandwidth
  • change user passwords, and perform many other actions.

Your users will be responsible for setting up their websites and e-mail, as well as managing their accounts, which they can perform using the cPanel control panel.
cPanel will enable them to create and manage their websites and e-mail accounts without your intervention.

What is reseller web hosting?

Reseller web hosting enables you to set up your own web hosting business under your own name. When you apply for a reseller hosting account, you lease a certain amount of SSD disk space and monthly traffic which you can then distribute among your users. You can choose your own account limitations, as well as the price you’ll set for your clients.
